Spekco

SMS Messaging Program

Last updated: June 25, 2026

About this program

Spekco is a software platform used by repair businesses. When a repair shop uses Spekco, it can send transactional SMS text messages to its own customers about that customer's repair — for example: repair status updates, "ready for pickup" notices, and appointment reminders. These are service messages tied to a repair the customer requested; this is not a marketing or promotional program.

How customers opt in

Receiving texts is optional and off by default. The customer opts in themselves by checking a dedicated SMS consent box on the account page of their repair shop's customer portal (the customer signs in and checks the box; it is never checked on their behalf, and it is unchecked unless the customer affirmatively checks it). Consent to receive texts is a separate choice on its own — it is not bundled with, or required by, any account terms or other agreement.
